I have been painting on and off all my life including an attempted few years at art school, Massachusetts College of Art and a short stop at University of New Mexico Art Department. I eventually ended up at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.  (And, yes. I am the same Tinuviel who was part of founding both Kill Rock Stars and Villa Villakula record labels.) I had a 10 year hiatus from painting which I spent learning house renovations, farming, and gardening.

I currently live in Southern Maine on 3 acres of front yard, poultry yard, and wild, wild woods out back. I have been raising chickens for over 10 years; a flock of purebreds and backyard mutts, roosters, hens, chicks, and even a couple Muscovy ducks. There’s a garden out front that has a bit of everything. Flowers, herbs, vegetables, fruits, trees… a jungle to explore. The birds free range and love it all.

I have always been drawn toward what is near me, what surrounds me, what makes the world personal.

And cats. Cats have always been a part of my life since before I was born. My cats are mentors, muses, and annoying roommates.
